I've always been an animal lover and knew I wanted to work with dogs from a young age. In the picture above, you can see Sparky, my first dog! He showed up as a stray and my parents reluctantly let me keep him.

 

I like dogs more than I like people, except for the guy who made me a mom to beautiful twin girls, followed by a baby boy a couple years later! My husband, Shawn, shares my passion of running a successful dog grooming business from our home so I can be closer to our family. They're only little for so long! I wouldn't be able to fulfill my dreams without his love and support!

Luckily, my experience in the grooming industry has given me vast knowledge in the past 11 plus years. I've noticed from working alone in my home salon that most dogs are a lot calmer and more at ease versus the loud noises and hustle and bustle of high volume salons with multiple employees. Not only am I certified to work with special needs dogs, I also have my dog first aid certification which includes CPR. I am an AKC S.A.F.E. Certified groomer, as well as Fear Free. I've worked in both corporate and privately owned salons. Now I'm on to the new adventure of being my own boss and a woman entrepreneur. They say it's not work if you love what you do!

When I'm not playing with puppies all day, I love being outdoors. Hiking, kayaking, hunting, fishing, camping, sitting around a bonfire, all of which you can do with your dogs, or your human family and friends too! I absolutely LOVE my job, but my family is the most important thing to me. Shawn, Sawyer, Oaklee, and Colton are my reason for staying true to my passion of being a pet care professional.
